Some of my better rings found over the years..

Great collection. How many years does that represent? Do you ever sell any or do you keep everything? I plan on selling my gold and better silver rings at the end of the season and may apply it towards a new detecor.

Chris

Nice collection Bill. I like that Tiger Eye one.

Wow Bill,
That's a super collection.
Ye've got some real stoaters there, (kin ye no see me turnin' green :smoke:) we're jist biding oor time till we get some of that quality.
I think it all boils down to population numbers, on the beaches anyway and the percentage
of rich v' poor. Bearing in mind that you have to walk over it to get it.

I think that poor v's rich is true and the numbers =%. I can go to the parks and dig 100's of coins and not get any jewelry. I think in Fl. if I dug a 100 coins I got at least one piece of jewelry. I have dug three rings in one day in Fl. At one time I would say it was the person's ability.
If the rings are not there you are not going to find them.

I went along the river that is a favorite swimming spot last week. I could not find one coin, besides a ring. I can walk in the woods in Fl. and find a coin. I even found an antique ring in Fla's woods. Not here. I put on my fins and snorkel. I went into the water and was trying to find something. Beer cans!!!

I'm to miserl;y to sell them. I have given some real nice ones away for birthdays, Xmas, etc. Gave my sister-in-law a beautiful amethyst set in antique filigree silver. Wish I had it back. :) I've got a ziploc bag nearly half full of silver rings and another bag half full of cheapo rings. Don't know how many years but it's been a bunch.

Bill

Yeah everybody likes that one. I'd wear it if I wore rings but I hate wearing them, plus when I worked in the building trades wearing a ring could get you hurt. Seen a couple of guys lose fingers due to wearing a ring. Really got my attention.

Bill

It'll take time my friend but they will come. Just hunt the right places. Sports fields are good spots to find them if you don't have a busy beach or swimming hole available.

Bill

I knew some folks in Arizona who detected a river there where people done a lot of inner tubing. Someone there even rented the tubes out. At certain times of the year the inner tubers were thick as maggots on the river. When the river got low each year this couple would hit the deep holes in the river, some which were just puddles during the dry season, and they would be loaded with jewelry. They would pick up many thousands of dollars worth every year.

Bill

I'd be proud to show off a collecting like that. Nice stuff Bill.
