Got me beat by 5oz. Thats a great group shot...give a fellow an idea of how much hunting, effort and skill is required to amass a stack like that!

Good Work CJC, I know you worked hard for that treasure!!

Hope the blue lands this week....

When you say 9oz gold do you mean you found the equilivent of 9oz of 24k or lets say somthing like 5oz of gold and 4oz of other metals alloyied with it. I myelf have found 86g of gold rings, off beaches in Ireland, mostly 9k but only count it as 35g because that how much gold is in it. Well whatever the gold amount, well done.

I think we count total weight of gold finds, no matter what the K... Of course gold filled or HGE dont count...right?

24k certainly counts! That's the best gold find I've seen in years. Hey I noticed how you made good use of some of the other info (deepest water, closest to shore--worked great for me last year too) can I shoot you down a copy of my new one? I know the info won't be wasted on you.
Just PM your address.
Kind Regards,

I got a pleasant surprise last night when I was sorting my jewelry to send to ARA. A ring I thought was sterling silver was actually a 10K ladies wedding band. It must have been in the water a long time. Trying to clean and weigh everything before I mail it paid off. That's nothing compared to what you and Mud have found, but it was a little treasure to me just the same. HH.

Well thats a cool surprise there Fongu! :clapping:
I shudder to think about how close a fellow can miss by and inch or miss by a mile a good target, its a wonder we find anything at all! What a sport!
