I was able to get out a couple of times between the rain this week. I found an assortment of goodies, but never could pull up an older coin. I dug some more dropped bullets, with two being smaller pistol type bullets. One of the bullets looks like it has been chewed. I know I have read different theories to how these get this way, it really looks like human bite marks, but I can't say for sure.I also dug what I think is a US Staff Eagle Cuff Button, that is in very bad shape, but I can make out the eagle and stars on it. The handle from a spoon or fork is nice, and I believe it to be silver, but I don't have a way to test it. It has the name Eva engraved on it with a neat flower design. The two tokens have some local history behind. Deeds & Hirsig was an automobile manufacturer in Nashville, TN. that closed in 1913. The other token is from H.H. Clark in Christiana, TN, and I can't find any info about it on the web. The other tag piece must have come off a keychain, it has a name and phone number from Orangeburg, SC. The rain has stopped, but it dropped 30 degrees in less than 6 hours yesterday. We have had some crazy weather this winter.
