Some NJ beaches are totally closed

Got a call from my brother who went down to one of our NJ beaches with a few friends to hunt. Can't even get ON the beach, let alone near the water.

They are going to head to a few others to see if this is a trend along the coast. Hopefully NOT ! Want to head down tomorrow morning for a few hours.

Please keep us posted. Was thinking about going down tomorrow. Takes me 1.5 hours to get down there and if they are closed what a wasted trip it will be.

The beach I am thinking about going to tomorrow is only a 40 minute drive, so I can take the chance. May try to contact someone down there prior just to make sure.

Got another call from my brother at another beach....tons of soft sand but it's high tide. Maybe the tide will start to pull some sand away as it gets to low. They are heading to another beach now.

I hit a bunch of beaches in s jersey and was surprised to find that the Storm just made things worse. All the sand from the top was dragged down to tide line and beyond and the top layer was a bust as well. The storm was not powerful enough to move things as I would expect, you had to work hard just to get a few coins
