Some nice finds and a killer relic!

Being in the 70’s here today Dad and I had to get out. Hit 2 fields and my great great grandparents lot where their house used to be. We have hit all 3 of these places before. First field got a clad dime and a wheat. Second field we got 4 wheats, a 1937 Buffalo and 5 marbles. Lastly stop was the open lot. I got a 1936 Buffalo, 3 wheats, 1960 Roosie the first silver of the year and an absolutely amazing watch fob. How it ended up in a town of 300 in central illinois we will never know. It is dated 1909 from Brandon Manitoba. One of the coolest items I’ve found in a while. No matter where we go with the Nox 800’s we keep finding stuff.

Only reason I questioned what it is, is because I found I an item last week that is the same shape and size as yours with a small in it.
Mine turned out to be a 1907 Jamestown Exposition Pin, but missing the attachment piece like yours.
Yours is in much better shape than what I found...

They are in the hole where the metallic object is

Thank you fastdraw for asking that, I was baffled and starting to look up whether old style marbles had some type of metal in them! I remember playing with steelies when I was kid and found out much later they were just ball bearings. I did find out there is a marble collectors group and some have jaw dropping worth.

Nope found the marbles out laying in the field as you can see from the pictures. This place we have probably found at least 15 over the years.

Congrat's on some nice saves. I like the marbles and the pin. Finds and saves such as these are even more special when they come from an old family homeplace and have a family History and Story to tell.
