My girlfriend and I think this is a lipstick tube? It's copper and very fancy....

I have found a few of them and I believe I may even have that exact same one laying around here somewhere in a box that is complete. Looks like someone has been hitting your area and looking for Quarters,Dimes and leaving a lot of Nickels and Pennies. But it don't matter which you find because they all add up in the end.
