Some Interesting Comparison Data GTI 2500 + ACE 150 + ACE 250 + AT Pro :nerd:

I did some air tests a while back. All tests performed on same set up in room, with a moderate to fast swing speed of the target. Readings were measured at the most notable repeating audio signal, rounded off to the nearest half inch. The GTI 2500 used the true all metal mode & the others zero discrimination.

No real surprises, except that SNIPER COIL gets exceptional depth. I knew from my own experience that the depth was good, but I never actually measured the depth in any way. I am going to have to get me one for the AT Pro.
And, as in all air tests, they were done for comparison reasons only. Depths expected out in the field will vary considerably, due to (but not limited to) the following:

-Mineralization
-Moisture
-how target is orientated in the soil
-human error

It doesn't seem to be correct to me John. I found the the Ace 250 had a limit of 8 inches on the targets I tested when I had it. I think someone is being a bit too optimistic with this chart. Sorry if I burst your bubble.
Mick Evans.

John;
I had seen your earlier post with this info. This was the deciding factor in myself getting a garrett.I have not been disappointed. Keep the info coming.

I have the Ace 250 and have been using it for several years . I have never tested it at 100% sensitivity.(and very seldom run it that hot) 9 " on a dime does seem allot ,,but not impossible in prime test conditions.

You say in zero disc. ,,,,,,,so,,,,,,is this test with accurate ID of item,,, or just showing up on the scale???

Not really into testing as many variables to consider but will say the GTI2500 which ID's is one of your deepest coin shooters around and dug my deepest silver dime with one.
13 inch barber dime and yes have used just about all the top of the line coin shooters and came close but never reached that depth on a silver dime...And yes it gave a solid dime reading on the meter..so the proof is in the pudding......as Garrets in most cases get good depth and do like gold jewelry which is shown from your testing...
PS: it also shows lower end Garretts can't match the depth of the top of the line models but give a good bang for the buck...
