Some goodies I found with my Excal...

Found these goodies on March 18th in South Beach with my hunting buddies, The Bulgarian and Skip. It wasn't easy. There was a lot of trash where we were...I must have dug a million pull tags and bottle caps...

First, here's "the nut," (minus the trash)...

Next, here's a close up picture. The Gucci dog tag is .925 silver, "made in Italy" and was attached to a .925 chain that said the same. Good quality. The ring on the right is a 14k white gold band that has a "P" in a circle next to the 14K. I looked that up. Apparently that means "Plumb," so it ACTUALLY IS 14K, no less. The ring on the left is actually from a solo hunt (Palm Beach) the week before... .925 with inlaid stones or shell. One piece is missing.

Back to Miami: Also found a .925 silver post earring. I didn't even bother checking the stone. Then there is a magnetic Hematite necklace (cheap), and junk earrings. All the cheap stuff was found under or around the lifeguard stand in the early morning hours, amid empty beer cans and used...well... you know..., so you can see what kind of women (or whatever) had lost them...Also, in another SoBe spot, a leather studded wrist cuff that I found in the water.

Then, the big strong guys

that I hunt with called it a day. WHAT??? But I wasn't DONE YET!!! :detecting: So, having been up and at it since 5:30 a.m., I dropped them off and went on my merry little way to Palm Beach. I stayed until dark and here's what I found:

Cute, huh??? First I found the cop car, then I moved closer to the surf and in ONE scoop found the other three cars. Cool! Here's another angle:

So, that's it for that trip. Last weekend I found some less exciting stuff. Probably not worth posting... but hey, I had fun and that's what it's all about, right?

HH - get your share!

Is the dog tag for the studded collar? Nice stuff Stace!

The pull tabs may be part of the reason the jewelry gets lost. HH, I plan on making it to Palm Beach before the summer is over.

Nice haul there Stace! Looks like you might need to get a Hot Wheels collector's box if you keep going like that. I'm looking forward to swinging my Excal again here very soon. I need to replenish my gold reserve! :)
