Some forest hunting

I just hunted some woods, there have some activity during the war of 1808.

There where no sortage of musketballs.
 
That's great.. tell us more about your hunt, location (general of course:biggrin:) coil used etc.. HH TomB

Well, during the war in 1808 against the Russians who tried to invade Finland at the time, the Swedish soldiers set up cannons and troops in a forest hilltop, where they could effectifully bombard the nearby waterway, so we hunted the nearby forest area and found plenty of things.

Almost all musketballs where at least at 7-8 inches, buttons where at least 4-6 inches. X-terra 70 was in 2 tones, all metal mode, sensitivity 28, threshold at 5, track and headphones and i used the stock coil. Almost all the musketball signals where bouncy id numbers, but if the id numbers where positive, i dug the target up. Trash in that place was almost non-existend so it was easy sailing.:smoke:

We returned at the place in the same day with two Golden mask 3 detectors and i found 12 musketballs that almost all where well over 9 inches, musketballs where found in same places i hunted with the X-terra with the stock coil, i am sure that a larger x-terra 10.5" dd coil would have been better at getting those deeper targets.
