Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's! Here are a couple of finds from the past 2 weeks. The necklace was 14K and attached was a baby ring with either an "M" or a "W" on it. I found it in left center field of a baseball diamond here in Lodi. The medal was dug up at an older community pool. On one side, St Christopher is seen carrying Christ across a river. On the other side, the iron cross with a crown on the top, the letters FW, branches and a date of 1813 are in porcelain . I found that this medal was not given to soldiers, but was worn by civilians during WWI to show support of Prussia. The 1813 only stands for the date the iron cross was created. The FW stands for Frederick Wilhelm; leader of Prussia. I thought it was a pretty sweet find. If anyone knows anything more about it, please let me know.
