Some finds from yesterday

I really don't know how to write this post so I will just ramble on. First, my next younger brother, Kenny, passed away suddenly on January 22nd, 2010. He suffered a brain aneurysm. This has been hard on me because I would call him two or three times a week to talk about detecting and our plans for the future. He lived in Kentucky and I am down here in South Georgia.
Anyway, I had to get out of the house so, even though it was misting rain and cold, two of my friends and I went detecting. The rain stopped and we got in about 4 hours of hunting. My friend, Jim was the first to score with an 1843 half dime. I walked over to see it and started hunting back to my spot when I got a good signal and dug my first half dime. It was an 1842. Five minutes later I hit my second. This time, an 1829 half dime popped up. Then I got what I thought was a small round ball but it seemed lighter than a round ball should be. It turned out to be a round button of the type used on military cadet uniforms. However, it is unmarked. It is to the left of the half dimes in the first picture. Another field produced only round balls. I feel like Kenny was with me.

I just noticed the first picture is wrong. That was from an earlier hunt. Here is the correct one.

I am very sorry for your loss. Your brother was probably with you in spirit because you had some real nice finds!

I lost my sister when she was 30...terrible pain. Thank God time heals. So sorry for your loss.. TomB

Sorry for your loss bud. nice finds.

I really don't know where my mind is. I just noticed I posted the same picture twice. There should have been one of the 1829 reverse. Here it is.
