Some finds from today and swastika token

dk dogs

New member
Went to a friends house that is 114 years old this morning. Found this stuff and 7 wheats which where all early teens. This is an interesting token. Its from a doll that was made in the early 1920's.

Junk ring... One if these fays I'll find a good one

Funny how one dbag can ruin a symbol of honour and luck. Swastika was used for generations by honourable familys in germany until the 40s when hitler took it up so he could have the gensral population relate to him. Jaked up but really cool find

Very nice finds and great looking pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Great finds! Love the token. Got me thinking...what did the doll look like. So here is the link. circa 1922. with recording cylinders in the belly.
Enjoy...

I Agree

Sadly, human nature can sometimes be hazardous to the health of some and then others.

And my Two Cents...This "Vilification" is done to the "Pit Bull", which are loyal and loving and yes, gentle dogs but for criminal owners.

The shelters have over 80% Pit Bull and Pit Bull mixes up for adoption and there is Zero Tolerance for this Breed:cry:

Swastika good luck tokens were quite common from about 1910 til the late 30's. A lot of advertisers used then to peddle their goods. The symbol was actually made from four adjoining "L's" that stood for Luck, Light, Love, and Life. As you say .. too bad Hitler turned something innocent into a symbol of evil.

those Indians are in awesome shape. how did they look when you dug them up? congrats on a great hunt and spot to detect. D

Thanks for the kind replies. The Indians where crusty. Here is what I do. Carry a small pill bottle with soap and water in it. As soon as the coin comes out put it in there and keep hunting. When I get home I rinse them with a light rub. Dry them and as a final step. I put olive oil on them and rub that in let it set for a while than lightly blot it off. It brings the details out.

Nice finds dk,

I like the Indians

Thanks. I got the battery pack last night
Will give it an all day run today and tomorrow

Nice Mercs & Injuns! The token is cool! I found one like it years ago, but mine was a Madame Alexander doll token and it looks the same.Way to go!

Nice find's!
My wife has one of the Madame Hendren dolls that I bought & restored for her. They play nursery rhymes.( One, two, buckle my shoe etc.)

Nice finds.

BTW - That token is not a Nazi Swastika. Notice the "arms" go to the left. The Nazi's went to the right. Yes, they took a sacred image and twisted it.

On a side note, since it was already hinted at:
Speaking of evil, I believe there is ample evidence to show that certain large banks funded both sides of WWII as well as certain American businesses! Yes, history is interesting when you take a closer look...

Snippet from The Guardian said:
George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.
The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.
