Some finds from over the pond....thought they may be of interest

Hi Jim,
The small siver hammered coin is from the 1400's and the celtic potin between 100-50BC.I believe that 50BC is around the time they stopped making potins and the example I have they started producing at around 100 BC.This makes this particular coin well over 2000 years old.The coins were cast and that is why part of the casting "sprue" remains on the coin were it was seperated from the other coins that were in the mould.
