Some finds from last weekend

I found these "blobs" at GGP last weekend. I dug everything that wasn't iron and these were unrecognizable crudded up blobs, so I had no idea what they were until I cleaned them up.

Here's the token, the aluminum center was just bubbled up and it disintegrated. Here's the info on the token:

San Francisco, CA bimetal -- SAMUEL JOHNSTON / 2 1/2c /
1035 MARKET ST. S.F. // : HUNT'S BONDED WHISKEY
/ NO BLEND / 3RD & TOWNSEND ST. S.F.
brass ring, aluminum center 28mm, Kappen #1263

Another blob cleaned up turned out to be an Indian Head Cent:

And another, it's bronze or copper:

Here's a cool button:

Wish they were in better shape, but they are what they are ;)

The Cibola seems to be doing alright.

I like the Boss Of The Road button. Nice IH.

HH,

Thanks Tabdog and Terri, good to see you back in action Tabdog

I found these goodies with a second hand Minelab Sovereign I picked up. I have a Tesoro Lobo (not the Super Tracker) but haven't tried it out yet . It was a package deal that came with the Sovereign I wanted and the Lobo (the seller wouldn't split them up), long story, but it was one of those deals you just can't pass up

As I understand it, the Lobo is mainly a nugget shooter, but I bet it would do well for jewelery hunting too

^ Hmm.....that's a real possibility, given what was I was finding in that area, it would be a really early Mack Truck button. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out.
