Some Finds From A Few Short Hunts

Well-known member
Finds are from a few short park hunts after work and before weekend home improvement projects early in morning plus a 1/2 day Sunday hunt.

Quarter is a 1968 Canadian. I was happy when It passed the magnet test and does not stick so it is the 50% silver version, not the nickel version.
Dimes are 1938,1942,1963
Nickels are 1902,1902,1910,1936,1937,1941,1942,1948
Indian head penny is 1901.
15 Wheat pennies are back to 1919.

The tiny gun like item was about 8 inches. I am unsure what it is off of but I believe it has a lot of age.
Also found was a Crotal bell (no pat date), A bracelet, a tootsie toy car, a 1960 Rabies vaccination tag and an old jack knife.

I stuck with the Thunder coil once again for these hunts.

Nice finds! I wish our V nickels and buffalos's were able to be clean up that well.

Very nice bunch of nickels and congrats on the bell. Still waiting to find one of those.

You are right that the toy pistol is quite old. It looks like one of those cap and ball pistols used during the Civil War.

Wow!!! Outstanding finds FPD!!! I'm drooling over here. I second the comment about wishing our "V"'s cleaned up as nice as yours... this is what they look like out of the ground in Portland OR...

awesome stuff...and once again, i am astounded at how nicely your Vs and Buffs emerge from their long dirt nap.....
you seem to do pretty well in parks//most of them anywhere near me are pounded into submission and have been for years
you get a large variety of targets which suggests to me that you work with very little DISC and dig a fair amount of junk as well??
curious as to the programs your run ...it all seems to work well for you Sir; congrats again

SS,
thanks. I believe my ferrous line is at 24 / Multi tone / conductive / variability and limits maxed out. Any more open on the iron mask and I would be digging too many falsing nails.
Yes, I dig a lot of beaver tails, pop tops and bent nails and some coin slaw.
if it is deep and repeatable I am chasing it.
