Some February Finds

Man, its been so unseasonably warm here the past week. Snows been gone for a little over a week!!!! What a difference from last year. I can't ever remember detecting in Feb. Went to my favorite spot and found a really nice Sterling Silver what I believe is a ladies hair pin. I'm figuring mid to late 19th century as the depth in a wooded area was 3-4 inches, same depth as I find coins of that era. Its marked sterling and has a nice purple stone. I don't know if its a real stone or glass. I have now idea! lol. Also found 2 really neat rotted buttons that were the same! LOL. Did some research and I believe they are from around 1840 Massachusetts buttons. Some kind of military button. Picture of the Massachusetts Indian Seal and Massachusetts on the bottom. Gonna put this back in the olive oil for a spell along with the two Indian head cents 1880 and 1882 I found also. How bout these bullets gang? I have no idea. Any comments from the bullet folks? The temps are going to stay pretty nice out for a while. Gonna keep on swinging! Happy Hunting all! Emmett....was using the cc 7.5 stock coil with sens set at 27(deep woods hunting) on tracking.

Nice finds. The bullets are probably late 1800's to now. Do a google search on cast bullets. You can still buy that exact bullet. Yours is probably old though. Congratulations on the nice finds.
