Some Family Photo Tips...

1. Try not to pose children. They are their best in candid shots or natural activities, especially outdoors.

2. Keep bright lighting, especially reflected flash from windows/sliding glass doors and sun glare out of the framing of your subject as this may wash out part of your photo.

3. Be careful of vertical/linear projections behind your subject as telephone/fence post, drains, or shutters may appear to be coming out of the heads of your subjects.

4. Frame your photo with extra room around your subjects so as not to crop off heads or feet.

5. ALWAYS be generally aware of secondary objects, people or animals that might draw attention away from your intended subject.

I hope this helps in everyone taking a few better photos this year that can be shared proudly with all your family and friends!

They got all of the little girl in the next shot...

AFTER they moved all the kids to the back yard and put away the hose they used on the dogs.
