Some F75 Finds from the UK

New member
I have been using the F75 fir over 6 months now in the UK and it is my first choice machine between my XP Goldmaxx Power and Minelab Explorer.
The sites I hunt have been habited in some cases for at least 3000 years, so there is plenty of metal in the ground, its not unusual to get 3 or 4 iron hits on one sweep!. I have found the F75 excels in these conditions!
Anyway a few finds all from the same field: (all sizes in mm)

Henry VII Silver half groat 1422-7

A Medieval Purse bar, the purse would have been attached to the bar and hung from a belt:

A broken Roman Ring that would have looked rather splendid with its blue stone in place:

A Roman Silver denarius of Domitianus 81-96:

man the finds or so cool, I would be so crazed to find such nice things,GO finds!!!!DO you think the f75 would be a good coin and jewlery detector!!!!

Beautiful finds, thanks for letting us have a look. Have you been using the PF process mode? If so, how does it compare to default process depthwise...thanks again..Jim.

THe settings I use are:
PF
Sensitivity 70
Discrim 0-4
Tone 2F

I find PF gives plenty of depth, but interestingly on our farm land which is ploughed every year, most finds (even those over 2000 yrs old are in the 1st couple of inches anyway.
The key to good depth is not to use too much discrimination, which is easy for us in the UK, as if its not iron, we dig it!. For example, the hammered silver coin, can give a reading in the low 20's, the same as foil, so we just run the machines as wide open as possible
Having a stable fast recovering machine, amongst the iron, is more important to me than going for max depth.
