Headed out to an old picnic site, which was hunted hard! However, a spot is never hunted out completely. My buddy & I equally scored some super finds.

Here's an old lock which was dug up from about 6 inches. It read in the high 80's. Kinda rough looking at first, so I used some electrolysis to remove some oxides, and I was surprised with a nice looking lock.

Nice to get an old coin. Silver was what we wanted, however, 1918 copper id fine. Also got a winning $2.00 bottle cap liner from a "Price Is Right" contest from many years ago.

Here's a very unique find! Even has a patent. This was available in 1915. Who would have ever guessed?

Below is some more food porn. It's going to make some great jerky tomorrow night. needs to marinate, then in the smoker it will go!

Very nice! Love the old lock! It cleaned up so well, maybe a locksmith could actually make a key for it.

Really impressive work on the lock John. How much time did it "cook" to get it to look like that ?
