A couple of hunts ago I had the incredible joy of finding a gold ring on the first dig . My next shorter hunt was a bit lackluster .Tonight I "paid my dues" . Three hours worth and , I'm beat . I removed quite a few junk targets .
On the bright side I dug four nickels , a wheatie and a zinc that was even spendable . On the brighter side I learned where a whole lot of targets hit on my machine . This trip and the previous ones have made it so I can determine what I'm about to dig a lot better . The screen numbers and the tones on the MXT PROS can pretty well split hairs if you take the time to learn them .
I'm getting the hang of the Ground Grab also . In simple terms when you hit a target , and you press and hold " ground grab" while swinging it over the target it will stop the detector from thinking the target is part of the ground and ground balancing it out . Taking your finger off of it when finished puts the detector to where it was set before . The manual explains this and other features quite well .
Here's a couple of pics .
