The extremely high west wind we had yesterday has driven the ice pack on Lake Michigan back toward the beaches on thie Michigan side of the lake, exposing open water about 3/4 of a mile offshore.I have heard of this happening before, some take to thinking that walking out on that ice over water way over your head deep is a neat thing to do.Even though the ice is jammed together and quite thick, from the movement of ice and waves there is bound to be thin/open spots in that ice cover.Anybody falls into the water thru that ice, with all them currents under it,no matter how shallow or deep......sadwalk::unsure:There is a good chance they won't be found until Spring,if they are found at all....It has been on the news in the past, and will surely happen again.PLEASE,TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS,STAY OFF THE ICE ON LAKE MICHIGAN!!!!!!
