Solid coil cover for 10" Slimline coil?

Canewrap

New member
Does anyone know if Minelab makes or has made a solid bottom cover for the 10" Slimline coils? Would make hunting in the woods a bit easier.

TIA,
Bill

Sunray used to make coil plugs, have a look on there web site, maybe you will get an idea, you could also look for a frisbee to fit

If you can't find one think about trying coruplast. This is stuff they usualy make signs out of that looks like cardboard with the ribs but is plastic. It's very durable stuff, you can't tear it with your hands, and it's slick so it will slide right over the ground. You'd have to figure out a way to attach it to the coil, though. Maybe via rubberbands or something that will hold it on good. An alternative would be to glue it to the coil with Shoe Goo (Walmart, etc). This is a waterproof heavy duty rubbery cement. It dries clear and stays flexible. Later if you don't want the cover on the rubber cement will peal off fairly easy. I've been telling people to use this stuff as an extra safety for waterproof coil connectors. Incase the connector in this stuff and you can always peal it off down the road.

If you figure something out let me know because I'm having the same problem with my 10" snagging stuff in the woods. I plan to use my S-5 coil as my new scouting coil in the woods because it's solid and very light. I can always go back with the 10" or 12x15 once I located activity.
