Solid 82 Gets my First Silver

Clad2Hunt

Member
This is my 2nd hunt after receiving my Pro back from needing a little service. Only had it 2 weeks and PP quit. Garrett is the best. Short turn around on the repair and no doubt the unit is better than it left. Thanks Garrett for a well done job. I got to hunt a couple of front yards that are owned by a new aquaintance. Houses empty from renovation and now up for rent. Only chance to scan so had to move on it. Started off with the 5x8 and I run pro custom 35 iron and nothing descriminated. I was also running -8 from the auto ground balance number of 82. Stable and quite. 1909 Barber was 4" in some nice soil. Can still read the Liberty on head band. The best shape for the 5 Barber dimes I have found. House from 50's so surprized to find that old of a coin there. Few homes in area from 20's on the block. Ive used a Safri for the last 18 months and silver has a sweet high tone its know for. Can say that silver has a high clear sound in Pro mode that I like. After hunting key areas went t the stock soil. Ring had a solid sound but bouncing numbers. 24Q, 22D, 21 copper pennies, 3 wheats from 50's. No nickels which surprized me. Last Saturday I dug 12 jeffersons at a school field so it ID's nickels on the money. Even tone is different just enough to know its a nickel. Audio is everthing and this machine delivers. Thanks for looking. JR

Nice silver and good on the clad.

Nice hunt, clad! Always a pleasure to see a Barber smiling up at you! Great write up and clad count, too.

From the land of the Bluenose.....miss Mary P at Garrett but Brad sure makes it easy to return machines to repair. Best of the season to you!
