after using my M-6 for 5 months i finaly sold it just to heavy for me i tried some straps and felt like i was all tangled up but hear is my opinion of the machine . It is great for parks beaches playgrounds between the VDI numbers and tone ID you really get an accurate idea of whats in the ground especialy on coins so if you are lazy and only want to dig coins its a great machine no doubt when you hit a quarter or dime copper penny zinc penny sometimes you get fooled by a aluminum scew cap but not often great at telling you what is foil i dug any + 12 number and nickles alway came in at 18- 20 thats what is great about it it tels you wheather its iron or some better metal so if im getting - numbers - 20 - 40 - 80 it is almost always iron i loved the toggle switch forward gave tone I. D middle was one tone and back pinpoint all metal makes digging fast DEPTH well they dont call it m-6" for nothing i found that 6" was max on most coins but i tried the 4x 6 6x 10 5.3 and stock coil 4x 6 was my favorite gets 4" strong on a dime exelent seperation very light able to get close to fence and metal poles 6x10 can find a dime at 5" for shure and gets great coverage 5.3 can get the dime at 5.5" to 6" i use a dime because if you can hit a dime at those depthes you can hit most other coins deeper i did not like the weight to heavy for me and when i put on my jacket the sleves turned the knobs up and down scewing whith the detecting if you are hunting for deeper items this is not the machine for you if you hunt the parks and playgrounds and beach its going to really do a good job been nice being on the whites forum looks like i will be going to a silver umax because of my budget great finds are found in great spots not nececarily by great detectors i had very meger finds it would not have mattered if i had a 4.0000.00 minelabe i still would have found what i found gunnar
