Solar Panel for CTX/WM10 charger?

Hi all,
Curious if many of you would consider a solar panel interface to the CTX/WM10 charger a worthwhile expenditure if it were to be in the $125+ price range.
Might be something I could work on. Perhaps it is just a rare need and your car is a fine remote supply? Or maybe you have one already - does it meet your needs well?

Doesn't come up a lot

Yeah the longest we hunt is from sun up to sun down and its got no problem going that long even with the most power consuming settings. Now,if we were piggy backing something off of it through the USB port (I'm not sure that's even possible) that also consumed power then maybe you would see a need but like Todd said, the issue just never comes up.
A background solar panel that would be able to charge an older Explorer, maybe. But there are really good rechargeable batteries out there now that have the ability to go thousands of cycles.
Neat idea though!

I was thinking there may be guys going on several day trips in the boonies that might like it - no car etc. But small market I guess - and if someone really needs one they can put it together with a little help from someone familiar with the technology requirements (and sources).

I can see that being a possibility for some... I would think you would need a sizeable panel to make it worthwhile.. Being the WM10 is a bit pricey, I would probably go wired to the detector after it died.

I just began using the WM10 a bit ago. Never had its battery die - is its life about the same or better than the CTX's?
The panel solution might be a foldout multipanel to keep storage size reasonable.
