Solar Activity

POLEWAGGER

New member
I was wondering how much, if any, the high level solar flares we're having lately are causing any changes in detecting?
Just wanted to bring some awareness to the subject in case anybody has strange performance issues or ??
They're starting to find more of a connection between the Sun and earthquake prediction.
Maybe there are changes that can be "detected" with changes in GB in a familiar spot?
Maybe some day we can judge the best detecting days by charting solar activity? Predict earthquakes with a Vaquero?
We are in an 11 year cycle (peak) that is supposed to be more active than the last one.
Just some thoughts:nerd:

I check out Spaceweather.com all the time for the solar flares and whatnot...they sure affect cell phones, I can see where it could have an affect on a detector, but I dont know for sure..big electrical storms, even off in the distance I have noticed. I have a theory that full moons pull up the silver too!

sounds silly but has logic, the soil has moisture and the moon controls the tides

Lol Fellers, "stuff do happen" awright! Years ago an ole digging Buddy would stop swinging and go to fussing about not being able to hear anything on his phones for all the jawing comming in from some commercial Jet flying over at 10.000, feet. Never had the problem myself but he swore it happened sorta regular. I always figured he should be able to smoke the rest of us with some real deep coins with a set of phones like that but he did no better than anyone else in the bunch. HH, Charlie
