soil moisture vs signal quality

JT Shooter

I'm curious as to how I can expect my mxt to react to moisture in the soil and if there are any 'head's up' regarding settings that might require adjustment.
I obtained my mxt this summer and all my hunting has been in dry soils. Now that the rain has started, I'm thinking there may be some differences.

Moist compact soil will be your best type for finding conductors.

Can I correctly assume that heavy damp clay (high in iron content) will require me to tune the mxt settings differently?

In my experience with that type soil I find that less sensitivity and reground balancing more often works better.
