Soggy Saturday

My brother and I hunted an old park yesterday - and the weather was, well, wet. We dug some nice oldies nonetheless. I got lucky on 5 Injuns (1890, 97, 98, 1903 and 06), a beautiful 1919-D Merc and a "Remember the Maine - Cuba Must be Free" token.

Way to go man!

Nice recoveries. That dime is in great condition. The Maine was sunk in Havana Harbor in 1898, which started the Spanish - American War. The medal you found commemorates that event. And don't sell yourself short on the Indians by saying you were lucky! The better you are with a detector, the "luckier" you get! Congrats. HH Randy

Congrats on the tribe and the Merc, but the token is my favorite. It is rare to find Spanish-American War memorabilia.

Some nice finds :twodetecting::minelab::cheers:

Nice ones!
