I recently picked up an Explorer XS on Ebay. I am sending it to Minelab to get the cracking problem fixed. Is there a software update for the explorer? The software on the unit is 1999 version?

only get a software upgrade if the display board needs replacing.. according to Minelab the only difference is the display drivers in the software
