Software glitches in the XS

Have you experienced any software glitches in the Explorer XS?
When I boot mine up it shows the minelab logo stuff and when it goes to the detecting screen it displays a blank screen with a huge box around the perimeter. When the detect button is pushed 3x to get me into smart everything looks Okay.
Since I just killed a WOT I'm using an X5 coil with the probe. Seems like I'm not getting much depth with it.
Just wondering if I needs to send it back to it's maker or time to upgrade.
Advise, comments are greatly appreciated.

It sounds like the Iron Mask screen with expand ON. Use the Smart Screen to be sure that the expand function is off and then go to the Smart Screen and turn it off and then back on and see what happens. If that does not work have you tried a reboot by holding the power ON button down till it goes to factory resets?
