New member
the purpose is to show sounds, and digging tecniqes, I did not find much, but the grounds keeper did stop and talk and said it was fine if I keep searching , I should have had the 15" WOT but i had more targets than i could handle anyway , i like to clean up the bobby pins and nails, i did get a deep aluminum can out and then found a dime right next to it it was being masked , thats why i dig all . leaves the field clean and easere to cover nextime hope you enjoy some of the humer LOL

You are a double star!!!

Great video again - nice work on the removal of objects (as always), I sometimes think you carry a whole tool box around with you....

Soccer/Football - don't think I will start on that !! :ukflag:

Keep up the good work :clapping:

Hey Gunnar,

Not only are you a double star, you are the main star of this video. You are a surgeon with a metal detector. You have more tools, more super methods of retrieving items from the ground then anyone else I have ever met. You have graduated with your Ph D in metal detecting. " Dr Gunnar please report to the soccer field, Ms. babycakes lost her diamond ring on the sideline" lol. You make very nice cuts into the grass and keep things nice and neat. This will get you into some nice places (including this soccer field) with these retrieval methods. The groundskeeper could of kicked you and your detector right on out of that park but politeness and retrieval methods let you stay. Nice finds and now you can add this place to your list of places to hunt. I recently watched a video ( u tube) of two guys trying out their new detectors and was shocked at the way these guys were digging up the city park. I was disgusted by this as these clowns are the ones getting us kicked out of these places. Let me just say they were not very neat about it. Great job on the video and as always a great sense of humor. Gunnar, try to get down there while they are having a big game and see where people sit on the sidelines. Keep up the great videos and thanks for sharing. - Jim

I find more lost jewelry at my Local soocer /sports fields, than I do at The Beach........Thanks for sharing

I am still perfecting my extraction tools, I have more than you can think of i just pick the ones that will work best in each situation , when i worked at the forge i made my own tools and everyone was always borowwing them from me i had a tool to clean every nook and cranny of the big 600 tone presses and always kept them clean . then the fatfull day came when the robots replaced not only the american workers but the migrants as well the only gy with a job was the guy who fixed the robots , well now i have some time to find some treasure OR make some tools

That is good to know as I am no wheres near a beach. :)

I like that magnet trick of yours. And the use of the needle nose piers. I will have to try that trick on some of my nail ridden sites.

EP, I'm not near a beach either. I too find more jewelry in sports fields than I ever found at the beach when I've had the chance to go. I am surprised at how many have success at tot lots. I have never found anything more than change and junk jewelry. However I will check them every so often because I believe they hold much potential for lost valuables.

Wow, I need to make a list of all the adult sports fields in my area and really concentrate on hitting them. It's just that I hear of a new "old site" and off I go and put the sports fields to the side lol. Yes, several here on findmall have told me about the nice jewelry finds coming out of tot lots. I hit several of them this past summer but not too much luck :( Thanks for posting - Jim

you get way more power with a needle nose plyers rather than risking cutting you hand I bent the tips in a bit because the gap lets the dirt compressand you can grab the wire or nails or can and just pull it out .

EP, this is for you.....

I didn't use my GT but just wanted to show you today's soccer field hunt. I threw away the trash (except the stuff pictured). Mind you I had a banner day after a long dry spell.
The 4 items to the right are silver and a 10k gold class ring. Its gonna really hurt to give it back.

Hi ISM,

WOW you found a lot of clad! Nice on the silver! I guess I have to really devote some time to these sports fields. Super nice ring and yes, it may "hurt" returning lol BUT think of the happiness you will create with the owner and you will feel real good about delivering the great news! Who knows if they are not too far away they might own an 1800's home..... This for that? lol. Your dry spell is over and the "rain" is coming down for you! Cool finds and I truly appreciate you sharing the sports field finds!

Great video again. Have not been game to venture into sports venues down here. County Councils get a bit precious about anyone even walking on site, let alone with a detector.

Hi Pete,

I have to ask about your sport fields...county council doesn't even want the sports teams to walk on the grass or are you referring to the spectators?
