Socal rings

CC2_IN_CA

New member
Snagged these two in two hours of detecting at 6am low tide
here in socal with my Excalibur. The band is 14K. The other
is 925 silver with black onyx center. I'm sure the diamonds are not real.
Doubt diamonds are ever mounted in silver.

That's a nice chunky band there.

I hear you on the diamonds in silver...I have found a number of nice looking rings that at first glance...particularly in the low light of a night hunt...looks like "JACKPOT!" and then see that 925 in there. And the ladies at work tell me "Well, they COULD be real...some women just like silver or are alergic to gold...you should get them checked. To which I agree and then toss it in with my junk rings at home later.

Nice heavy gold band CC2. There are some silver settings with diamonds according to my jeweler, but they are rare. You can know for sure with a diamond checker of you're own. I use a ceres czeckpoint xl. Available from most jewelry supply stores on line ($110). I don't think it will decifer moissanite though, but you could always get a second opinion if you were not sure.
