Soaking wet, clad, tow truck and costume jewelry?

I went to the river Friday and found some clad and what I believe is costume jewelry and a little tow truck. I got out a little too far and since there wasn't much wind and just a little wave action, I thought I would stay high and dry. Wrong..Somebody was water skiing and a large wave came over my chest waders right when I was in a coin spill. I got so mad at myself for not paying attention, I just dumped the scoop and walked to shore to dry out. I was having a hard time separating my coins due to a scoop full of fresh water mussels and their shells. Anyway, a few photos of my finds and my wallet contents drying out. From now on I will leave everything except the trunk key in the car. I found a quarter, 3 dimes, 3 nickels and 20 pennies. No marks on the jewelry.

A little crystal looking rock in the back of the tow truck and two ak-47 brass I found in the trash photo in the 1st post.
You don't realize how much paper you have in your wallet until you get soaked. Glad I didn't lost the contest entry ticket for a boat I bought.

From the land of the Bluenose....a large wave will do that. darn water skiing. Should be banned in swishing areas. Nice dinkie me son!

Senda, No dentures, thank goodness. Leslie, there were quite a few boats on the river because the crappie are biting pretty good. I just didn't expect anybody to be water skiing as cold as it was. Hope to hit the river again this week at least once, maybe twice. When the water temperature gets up where I don't need the chest waders, I expect to find some good stuff in the way of jewelry. Neck deep water should have less trash and more jewelry, but I will find out. The spot I hit last Saturday that was too deep for my chest waders is going to get worked over when it gets warmer, because a lady dropped her cell phone and I believe a 14K wedding ring. Maybe I can get the serial number off her phone and return her ring to her.
My printer doesn't work and I have 4 letters to write about some water spots I want to detect, so I'll write them out and put them on my usb memory thing-a-bob and take them to the library and print them out.

I'll see if I can't post a better photo, 88junior. It looks like some costume jewelry piece or brass, I can't tell. No marks that I could see anywhere..

Give it the old acid test. Not all gold have hallmarks. When in doubt, don't throw it out.

this one is 16k
