Me? I'm at work contemplating what spots I'm going to hit this coming week. Yesterday I hit a small beach. In the sand, nothing! It seems to had been pounded hard. Decided to go up to the grassy area before the sand. Boom!! 2 rings!! A silver promise ring with a heart shaped stone and a small kids mood ring. Ill take the silver ring to a jeweler tomorrow to see if its a diamond or not. Funny thing is I found absolutely no clad in the 50 x 10 ft area I covered. Jewelry vdi range hits all over the place. Somebody was cherry picking. Good news for me I still have around 3500 sq ft to cover.
Spot 2 is one of the local area park baseball fields. The pittsburgh pirate's minor league teams had played there a few times back in the 30's. it's been detected for years. I already went over the diamond. All clad. A few days ago I started working left field. Not far from each other I found a 1919 and a 1918 wheat around 9 inches down. Can't believe that they had been passed up throughout the years. Gogo power sef coil! Lol! I have tons of area I need to cover there. With the ground quite saturated due to heavy rains here in nw pa this weekend I'm looking at some deep readings.
The last spot on my mind is a small park in my area that I had completely forgot about. The area was founded in 1850 though I have no clue how old the park is itself. I am confident that it hasn't been much due to its location.
Decisions, decisions. I'm leaning towards that small park. I'm only going to have a day and a half this week to detect as long as the weather is good and want to make it count.
