Digger said:Ground - Coin Target Separation was designed to minimize the blending of coin signals and ground signals in areas with highly mineralized soil. Ground Balance is best used in conjunction with Ground - Coin Target Separation. I didn't find any advantage to using Ground-Coin or Ground Balance in areas that weren't highly mineralized. Since I didn't see that it improved the stability of TID, I switched to NO Ground Balance and used a Separation that would stabilize the TID for my soils. Typically, in the old farm sites with lots of rusty nails, I'd use Ferrous - Coin. In private yards, I'd typically use Low Trash. In parks and public areas, I usually kicked in High Trash. Your separation settings may differ, depending on your soil conditions and the metallic composition of the trash. HH Randy
