here's a few snapshots with new Canon S3. All are handheld with image stabilization on.
First one is a sparrow at about 25'. This is handheld at 48X (12X optical X 4X digital), image stabilization gets all the credit.

Looks like you got your moneys worth. Nice pictures. I know what you mean about it being slow here. That's why I quit posting. Feelt like I was the only one but now I hope to see some more of your pictures.
