So nice to get...beach gold

unearth

Member
Went to the beach yesterday to take advantage of the pounding surf taking "some" sand out. Was finding nickels and quarters in the wet sand at between 5 and 8 inches, some a little deeper, and a ton of pennies! But, this little ring was in the dry sand. It rang in at a solid 12-09 on the CTX with a nice low sound. It's a very light ring. 0.5 grams of 10k gold with a small bluish green stone. Also found a Titanium ring, cork screw and various other items with about $10 in clad. Here's the pic of the gold ring.

Nice, too bad that gold is few and far in between for me but it is great when you score one.

So how does that make for the year unearth?

Congratulations! My oh my.. that is tiny, .5gr. tough to find... good report.

1 platinum ring and 4 gold rings for the year so far. This could be my best year ever...hope I just didn't jinx myself!!

Nice find! Are you using the stock Beach mode? I'm going to the beach in July and want to detect some while there.

Yes, the stock beach program, but I run manual sensitivity at 30. GB unchecked.
