Well I went back on Saturday and must have found all the big silver the first hunt. The sand conditions appeared the same but what has me disappointed was the lack of jewelry at this spot.It appears mostly kids swim and the parents watch from shore. The water here I imagine does not get as warm as it does down furter south were I live. Still as you can see I did do a lot of digging and the important thing HAD FUN!

Still a very good silver haul. You have a nice spot to hunt.
Congrats on the terrific hunt.
Cheers,

Congratulations on many things...especially your herculean effort of finding an area like that. :clapping: Its been tough up here finding any old cut this summer, but you did, and then the weather held for a week and you got back in it! Today you could not hunt that place with the NW wind blowing 20. I know the Big Lake level is down 4' from when those coins were lost, and what used to be the beach is now under 6' of sand, so it is remarkable that you found that spot and got out of there with some great old silver finds! Congratulations on your hunting skills and dedication to this sport, and for sharing the adventure with us! :please:

Sweet! I love it when the beach conditions are such that silver coins and wheaties start popping up. There's something about that silverish-grey disk clanking around in the sand basket that makes it fun :)
