I need some expert advice on headphones, ive been searching at all brands and cant decide what ones will best suit me for all purpose use.
i was leaning towards dephthmaster audiophone 2, they are reasonably prices and seem to have most high end features except the Frequency Response that goes into high 20,000......is this to high or do i want ones that match what my detector sends out????

Through the years I have tried to own and use only the headphones that I feel provide me with the best audio qualities and performance with reasonable durability.

For several years now I have only cared to own the Killer B 'Wasp' model, or the counterpart, SunRay Pro Gold. These are essentially the same headphone. Most of the time I do not employ the "limiter" circuitry, but will from time-to-time if I find myself hunting sites with an abundance of surface targets. When used with a Classic series model that are a "must have" for audio quality, and are still my only headphone (in use or back-up) in my arsenal.

It is a "personal thing", but I would vote for the SunRay Pro Gold all the way! They have everything that a pair of headphones should have! The leather ear pads are so comfy and don't slip. They feel good and the quality is hard to beat! Ralph knows what he's doing when it comes to the SunRay Pro Gold headphones! IMHO, Nancy

I picked up a nice pair from Radio Shack for $14.00 and some change. They
are very nice and have volume control for each ear. For an extra $5.00 you can get
a service warranty for repair if anything goes wrong with them. I've had mine for over
a year and no problems. I didn't buy the warranty. Check it out.

I too used Radio Shack headphones for many years thinking that they were doing a great job until I tried the SunRays. I just didn't know any better at the time. Now I know, and there is no subsitute for quality headphones built for metal detecting.

Yeep got agree with Larry and Nancy. Pro Golds, all the way.A bit pricey at first but they will last 10 times longer. They are good.
