Stayed at a hotel on the northern end of boardwalk. Looking out, they got about 150,000 tons of sand stocked piled ready to spread evenly on the beach.
This stock pile looks like a low range of mountains. I'm sure you guys on the coast are not new to seeing this, this was my first time. In a two hour hunt I did find a neglected spot for $2.34 in clad. Once that sand is spread, its fresh drops only. Local told me the beach once was up to the boardwalk. Now 300 yards to low tide, give or take. Well one good thing, Wildwood's boardwalk ain't getting washed away very soon.

I don’t get that far south but I believe ever since hurricane Sandy they build those protective dunes every winter..

Wildwood is longgggg way to the water. Saw a thunderstorm coming one time while I was detecting. I should have left the water 15 minutes earlier. I never got close to shelter before it hit. Scary stuff.

I use to vacation down there every summer for a week many years ago when bringing up my two daughters. We always stayed oceanfront at the Apollo in Wildwood Crest. One year while set up down by the water, my youngest said she had to poop. By the time we got back up to the room I had one hell of a mess to clean up. Scary stuff...
