I have only been at it a month so I don't have much to compare with. I do know that the wheather has kept me from going out a few times. I have been waiting for the weekends and going out early. Went over to a local park this morning for bout four hours. found a couple dz coins all clad. found a cross made of pewter I think. says jesus is lord. my brand new head phones lasted about two hours then died. I didn't put any undue stress on the cord. I don't know what happened. Oh... yes I do, I bought junk. the next set I get will be of much better quality. now I just need to find a good set. who knows Ranger you might get out there and find somthing that will make up for all the lost days this season. I have not been able to metal detect for several months. Hope to get back at it soon. A combination of health problems and the unrelenting heat have kept me at the house. I have ordered some books and maps about historical research from the library and look forward to their arrival.

Been quite hot here too. Normally we ease up on detecting during the high heat and focus on fishing, so I'm about or just ahead of where I was last year.

Well fellers, it's been either to wet hot and humid or to dry hot and humid. Texas..gotta love it..but all in all not bad..this is really my first year to hunt a little more than the last year or so...I'm a little over 400..clad and my first two silver so far. And having fun doin' it!:detecting: HH to all!

I'm way behind last year. Almost 3500 coins right now. My silver finds are up slightly. Gold finds way down. Partly the heat, I suppose. Partly because I've cleaned out some of my best sites.

I been trying to get out earlier in the morning and later in the evening, but guess where the mosuitos the size of Hueys are at those times! Between them and the heat, the last couple of weeks have been a bit grim. Course this is my first year so I don't have a Year to date comparison to make. All in all i'm pretty satisfied except for silver. Haven't found very much of that.

I have not had alot of time to go detecting lately. I work 2 jobs now and have not had a day since last Saturday and do not have a day off this coming week. Working 9 and 10 hour shifts are making it hard to detect. The heat is not bothering me too much. I just sweat more when I pull coins out of a hole.

The mosquitoes have been worse this year than I can EVER remember...last week we literally couldn't go outside at certain times of day. Ugh...

We've been prospectin' for the most part here lately for the past couple o' months. Mostly using sluice box, rocker box and gold pans. Use the Infinium some as well as the Scorpion. No nuggets yet. The other methods have gotten us a few very fine flakes and flour gold. A bunch of black sand that we need to process in the future.:wiggle:
We have made it to the public beaches a few times here lately, but only got a little clad and a ton of:pulltab::rofl: Happy Hunting!:)

Been dealing with a lot of health issues and going to doctors appointments and medical tests practically every day for weeks and sometimes twice a day so ain't had the time to devote to beeping plus it's been rather warm around here.
