So gold and pull tabs????????

Does gold come in at the same Freq as a pull tab or aluminum 22.5 does the Polarplot see the two metals any differently. Has anyone done any comparisons...it seems that would be a cool way to narrow down say gold rings and jewelry...I know it won't be an absolute but any help would be cool.

First of all...listen for tones & numbers.....then check out depth and strength....then use analyze screen/polar plot and use your brain to "analyze" what you see. In my soil, you can pretty much figure out what is what from all that information. It can be fairly accurate.

Both of my rings(14k band,10k black onyx) that I ware hit harder in the red 7.5 range (39 to 42), my wife has several gold rings i,ve checked(10k,14k, smaller) and they hit harder in the blue 22.5 range, the same id as nickles, pulltabs, foil, some guys has found gold rings that id around 50,small gold chains come in low on the id so gold comes in at various places so I would think you couldnt tell with the polarplot or analyze what you have till you dig it up.

Well that gold has been always hard to find but I guess you can still dig into the V3 more then the other units and who knows it may be of some help some is better then no help!

You can tell trash from coins & jewelry but cant always tell if its coins or jewelry.
