.....I wish I'd picked up the Ace 150 and 250 a long time ago. This was one of those rare occasions where the positive comments just kept coming in from novices to hard-core old timers, and for good reason as I am now experiencing for myself. I know Garry/OH just jumped onboard and has a 250 on the way after running the gamut of higher-end ID units as I have been doing. Garry knows his machines, and I'm sure will have alot of good tips to contribute.
My first thought after first picking up the 150 and giving it a spin, and thinking of all the other machines I had tried out recently was ..... "what's the point ?" Here I was swinging a well designed little detector coupled with a small 4.5 inch coil to see how it suited my own particular hunting style and needs, and at $125 was doing most everything the $600-$1000 machines had been doing.
Now the Aces won't replace some more specialized or more powerful machines for certain types of hunting, but I have little doubt that they will be one of the detectors I grab most often for an out-the-door casual hunt for the "fun factor" involved. They do enough things very well in the performance department to take the stress out of having to ride the machine as is so often the case with others that don't quite cut the mustard. They just offer the right combination of USEABLE features, and do so at a great price.
Nothing to sell here, as I am not a dealer for any brand or model. Just enthusiastic over finding the kind of machine that all others are often trying to emulate. A good solid machine with better than average performance at an excellent price.
Just my opinion of course......
