Snuff/Tobacco grinding can?

While hunting I actually eyeballed this find. It was nasty and very dirty and after 3 days of cleaning and soaking in hot water with dishwashing liquid it looked alot better. Never have seen one of these and thought I'd post it to let you guys look at it. It had what looked like pieces of tabacco stuck on the inside. The top spins around and I think the pointed jagged spears on the inside tear the tobacco apart but not sure. The botton unscrews off and holds the shredded material, atleast, that's what I think it does. Thanks for looking. There are no markings but it is heavy and the metal will not stick to a magnet so I'm thinking stainless steel?

i would have never known what it is just by looking at it ...cool find

As Joe already posted. That is a grinder used for Marijuana, I have seen several of these, I'm an officer with the highway patrol and have found several doing drug/criminal interdiction enforcement.

BCOOP

and you all are correct. I was informed by my 19 year old grandson that grandpa had found a pot grinder, I surely didn't know. Need to get rid of it....HH

I would keep it. Maybe you could use it for putting your coins in while you are hunting or to store matches. Kind of cool looking.
