Snuck up on some Indians

Deep Down

New member
Hit a 1870's house yard yesterday that gave up 5 Indians,a 41 merc, 63 rosie and 15 wheats. TID'S and tones just what they should be on the dimes and wheats. Two of the Indians came in and rang out classic 12-36's text book for my area. The other three were scratchy tones at best and they #'s were 1-29 to 4-32 two ways. All five were 5 to 8 inch's deep and only 1 was on edge and it was a 12-36.If I "Listened to the tone" I would have passed on all three but have have read about these #'s turning up goodies before. any thoughts on this as I now have to go back to a bunch of yards as I have passed on a ton of these in the past. Was in ttf and found nothing in the holes other that the coins.

yep, when at an old house I normally dig almost everything ABOVE iron....if not your missing goodies!

any pics???

Thanks for the comments. Great Iowa soil has alot to do with it,and an ultrasonic cleaner from harbor freight. Distilled water a tea spoon of olive oil run them for 18 to 36 hours
