Snow was flying, but I wasn't crying.

I went out for a 3 1/2 hour hunt. I was toasty and the snow felt good on my cheeks. It was 36 deg. and nothing was sticking. Recovering targets is a lot slower with gloves on. I MD'ed three vacant houses. It was a dark and gloomy day. I felt sad for the people that got thrown out of their homes. I stepped in one house to dry off. You can still see a lot of their personal items laying around. It is like a ghost town. People come into these houses and take what they want. The state doesn't seem to care.
Oh well, finding coin like this makes it all worth while. 1941, 1944 Aren't they beauts!!

Silver's don't get ate up like that. I found more pieces to a pocket watch and unidentified metal. Also a really cool white marble.

Brrrrrrrrr. I always use gloves. Why? This warm weather boy was in Truckee Ca. last winter and HAD to MD in the snow to see what it was like. So I wore gloves. I kept wearing the gloves in the cold once I was out of the snow and got used to them. I use a thin, tight fitting pair of leather gloves. No more black on my finger tips and under my nails I can't get off. No more dry lobster hands. No more tiny cuts (from rocks I think). Just like switching from my right hand to my left with the MD, it took a little to get used to but now I feel naked (sorry, didn't mean to scare anyone) without them.

The answer to your first question is: They are like tig gloves but I use Black Stallion Elk skin driving gloves.

The answer to the second question. 6'4", 240 pounds of romping stomping romance? And your calling me girlie man? Don't make me start a new cut and paste picture campaign. I still have one of you in the archives I could touch up.
With that said. About 3 or 4 months after I got my Ace, my right shoulder started aching and was to the point of bothering me when sleeping. So I switched to the left and no pain since. All those years of pulling wrenches and swinging sledge hammers on knocker wrenches in the oil field dang near wore my shoulder out. I also shortened the shaft where I sweep just past my size 15 shoes. Which might just end up where the sun don't shine if you keep up the girly man stuff.

Since the temperature recently dropped below 9c, I've started wearing palm u.s.a. multi sport gloves and they have a good feel to them. Like I said before you guys make good quality stuff.
Swing only with my right arm sometimes for 8 hours with breaks, once you get thru the pain barrier anythings possible.

I have just tried the G-TECH maxiflex gloves from Grainger and they offer warmth and mobility, they are tight fitting and dirt seems to sluff off. They also don't sweat as some gloves do.

Everybody I worked with made the same claim as they approached 50, It was the pipe wrenches. I think it is old age. Although I haven't done that much mechanical pipe as you, mainly butt welds. We are the same age and pipe fitter's. Alieve has saved the day for me. Almost no pain. I hope to be a light weight like you some day and maybe my knees will stay healthy. I thank God for my strength. Last year I went to the YMCA and everyone in my family lost weight except me. I said what's up. The trainer laughed and said stay off the weights.

Your Governor made me think of the remark. I retract the remark. I sure your Governor could beat up my Governor.

I was wondering about the gloves. The slop I dig in is so wet and slimy, I don't want to stick my gloves in it. I use my hand held pp to find it and I retrieve it with the tip of my digger. A couple of times the target stuck to the tip of the pp. This slop get a hold of you and doesn't want to come off.
