Just a great nite for detecting. The temperature went from -18c this morning to a balmy -3C. I rushed home from work, got the sock sweater for my ACE 250, put in a HOT PACK, put on the sniper coil and headed to some playgrounds. I hunted the playgrounds for 1 1/2 hours till dark, then moved to my favorite hill where people snowboard and toboggan, I switched over to my 9"x12" coil as I has to cover a lot of hill. I lasted about 1 1/2 hours transversing the hill back and forth, then got just plain tuckered out.

Along with my loot and snowflake earring at the kids playground, I also dug up a cool buckle, totally intact. A great item to my collection of "things" :(

Below is a pic of my snowflake earring....very appropriate for this time of year. :)

It's good to see that you are not held back by the conditions. I see that you got up to some skull duggery again.
Mick Evans.

How is that 9x12 coil working out?
I just bought mine from Clevengers $79.00 and $15.00 for an extra rod.

I might try that hand warmer thing and go out again. Still have some
snow on the ball fields though. The rain we're getting should melt most of that.
But the MUD!!! Thats got to be a mess!

Maybe you could invite Rosco up and teach him how to snow hint. Man that's a big ol chunk of silver. Nice.

Now thats a great buckle!!

Doesn't it make you wonder how a person loses a buckle. Couldn't they tell the weight difference or did their pants get loose.

It is just super for covering a lot of ground quickly. I can swing the coil quickly and not miss tiny objects. I haven't used the stock coil for 3 years. It's either the sniper or the 9x12 inch coil.

I posted a buckle on here awhile back that I found years ago. It was a nickel silver buckle with a silver dollar in the center. Bet that guy missed that one, but you would think their pants would be loose or something. Me, I got my bases covered. I wear a belt and suspenders.

Yeah old military trick is whipping your belt off and wrapping it around your hand a time or two and swinging it as a weapon. With that big old puppy you could inflict a world of hurt on some dudes.
