Well been a while since I have been here. I purchased a dd coil over the winter and was wondering if there are any different settings i should know I search the local beaches here in New Hampshire with my MXT300.

Thanks DJ Butch

Was going to be a nice day today and as usual only 29 a little to cold for the beach lol

I have the 10" dd ex coil and 6" ex dd coil on my mxt and they are both great. The pinpointing on the 10" i get a lot of times and then i will be off a few times. The dd coils here get good depth and can pinpoint really small items.

Can I ask wht do you use for settings? I hunt the beach and was wondering if the settings would be different with the new coil

Just put it on preset and the trac to salt mode if your in the wet sand and on trac in the dry sand and go for it...................Good luck

Thanks I will give it a try tomorrow in the am I'll keep you posted on the finds .

On the beach i try to keep my setting just were it will accept a nickel Relic mode a lot trigger foward and listen for high tone and look at meter, sometimes coin mode, sens what the beach will let me use sometimes 9 a lot of times 7or8.Beach here is funny fresh water lake erie,Salt mines 3or4 miles under Morton salt but it is not on the beach a lot of iron and different minerals, ore boat go by and drop little pieces of lead, rings in as a dime and quarters and it is all over the beach closer to the water. But the people here don't know how to throw garbage in a 55 gallon drum they think there might be a worm hole in there and they will get sucked in ,so they bury everything in the sand. You have to try different setting at the beach to see what works best.

I hear what you are saying about trash they bury beer and soda cans here.

Wish you the best of luck! Now go find those treasures. HH, Nancy
