Only had two hours to spare..and only had about a 6 foot width area near the water's edge at high tide to detect in because of all the snow and ice, but it was not too cold out and the fresh air is so invigorating!

some of the wet sand areas were hardened ...had to leave a lot of targets behind because of the hardened earth just under the top layer of sand, but I did get lucky along the 6 foot corridor,

My first hit was a 1971 "Ike " dollar coin....never saw an eagle that big! :surprised:

Next hit was a 10 K gold ring with stone in center ( to be tested by jeweler...my gold tester is "kaput" )

This gold ring sound was very different ...it was intermittent ...like hiccups', but strongly redundant so I knew it had to be a good one.

Then along the way I heard a nice silver sound and dug up an open ended bracelet with a mean looking creature's head on either side of the open ends

there is no marking in the bracelet , but my silver tester shows a positive reading.

Finally ...another silver sound..and up comes a very heavily tarnished ring ..with a junk looking stone... I am cleaning it at this time...looks like some kind of cheap gold plating over silver...another piece of junk.. uh oh...here we go again..

And intermittently ....lots of clads

here's pics..
