i need help on a location. i went metal detecting with my new sea hunter ii in a 30 years old resort. the water is 5 feet deep. the sand is hard on the top and when i dig it is muddy, after metal detecting for an hour. all what i got is coins. i was expecting to find more gold and silver. because i am sure noone metal detect in this location before. is that hard to find rings and jewlery or i am not using my detector well. had my setting to standard trach elimation and the therhold to the 1.
i am looking forward please for an advise.
thank you

I will also wait for a reply I just got my Sea Hunter and still working with it. Any suggestions or info appreciated

Mike

So all the coins you got were newer? If it is only 30 years old the coins would all be newer except if people swam there before the resort. If you didn't find any nicklels your discrimination is too high. Air test your machine on a nickel or a pulltab. Make sure you can detect pulltabs. If you can't your discrimination is too high. You need to dig all the pulltabs in the water to know that you will find gold.

So your elimination is set to 0, barely audible threshold/volume and Standard Trash Elimination, right? You DID find coins. If there is jewelry there you will get it. How many coins are we talking about? Many quarters? Any lead? I think it will come.
